Well as we really start the count down until the start of our trip - on the 18th of March - I am starting to get anxious about the weather. Remember a camper trailer is essentially just a fold out tent as I well know from many washed out childhood trips to Port Elliot. Add to that my careful planning has already booked and many cases paid for our stops. Including Gippsland and the south NSW coast both of which are under flood watch in the coming days.
I feel really bad for people affected by flooding I do - but when it comes down to it there is selfishness as well. This is a 'trip of a lifetime' and by that I mean I've dreamed about doing a trip like this for all of my adult life. So when the dream starts to almost become realized I find myself looking for things that are going to stop it from happening. Floods, cyclones, illness you name it my vivid imagination has thought of it...
Oh well 11 days to go (not that I'm counting).
It will work out in then end, with rain, sunshine, rainbows and happy times.
